I’m crazy, in case you hadn’t noticed. I have a hard time sitting still and twiddling my thumbs.

A couple weeks ago, an opportunity presented itself for my husband and I to take over renting a building in town, 1.3 miles from our home, and reinvent our businesses. When we lived in Maine, I’d researched the idea of opening a co-working space. Put those two ideas together – the place in town and co-working, and The Nook Cable was born.

The Nook will be a co-working space and business center for our local community here in Cable, Wisconsin. We will be moving into the new space in November and hope to do a soft opening not long after that.

I’m excited about the opportunity to serve our community in this way and have an actual office location for S. Barnes Designs. It will help improve productivity having that separation of work and home. I will still have my home office for the days I need it, but will do a majority of my work at “the office”.

One of the things I’m most looking forward to with having my an actual office – a better space to record tutorial videos!
